HUSKIES MEN'S VOLLEYBALL DROP TOUGH CONTEST

Huskies #5 sets the ball

On Friday November 18, the George Brown men's volleyball team (2-5) lost in a hard fought 4 set battle (19-25, 25-21, 20-25, 17-25) against the Loyalists Lancers (2-4).

HOW IT HAPPENED: The visitors got off to a strong start taking the first set 25-19 before the Huskies got on the board winning the second 25-21 and tying the match at one apiece. Despite a short-handed roster, the Huskies would put up a strong fight but the Lancers offense and full-sized squad would prove to be too strong for the home side as they dropped the next two sets, 25-20 and 25-17.

Huskies David Kiswa (1st Year) would continue his strong offensive run, scoring 15 points including 13 kills on 34 attempts and two serving aces. Arsalan Rhanama (1st Year) collected 22 assists and seven digs. Samuel Delgado (3rd Year) led both teams with 18 digs.

UP NEXT: The Huskies home stand continues on Saturday November 26 at 8 pm as they host the Canadore Panthers (5-1) from North Bay, Ontario at the Casa Loma Athletic Centre. Can't make the game in person? Watch all the action on our Huskies Livestream Channel!
