OSHAWA, Ont. - The No. 6 nationally ranked Durham College women's volleyball team defeated the visiting La Cite Coyotes in straight sets on Saturday afternoon at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Centre.
The Lords are now unbeaten through 13 matches this season, sitting atop the OCAA east division. Durham have claimed 11 straight set wins this season, dropping just three sets through all 13 contests thus far. Meanwhile, another victory over the Coyotes extended Durham's current winning streak versus La Cite to 17 dating back to January 2012. All nine attacking players for the Lords recorded a point in the win, while all 14 players saw time on the court.
Facing one of their toughest matches this season, the Lords will challenge the Algonquin Thunder at the CRWC tomorrow afternoon. DC defeated the opponents from Ottawa 3-1 in their season opener back on Oct. 19, and they will look to maintain their unblemished record this season. First serve is scheduled for 1 p.m., with the match also being streamed on
OCAA LIVE.
