OSHAWA, Ont. – The Durham College men's baseball team won a low-scoring 4-2 game, before falling to the visiting Fanshawe Falcons 7-1 in their final doubleheader meeting with the Falcons for the 2018 regular season.
With another split, the Lords' record now sits at 5-5.
They will now look to have their first doubleheader sweep of the season on Sunday, Sept. 23 at Kinsmen Stadium against the visiting St. Clair Saints.
Game 1

Brian Wowk (Oshawa, Ont.) went 2-for-4 bringing in two RBI.

Jake Legros (Whitby, Ont.) and
Aidan Ali (Whitby, Ont.) each brought in a run.
• Brandon Jones led Fanshawe with a hit and a run.
Game 2
•
Sam Cawker (Courtice, Ont.) went 1-for-1 at the plate with a double, walked twice and came around to score as Durham's lone run of the game.

Griffin Oliver (Oshawa, Ont.),
Brendon Dadson (Bowmanville, Ont.) and
Reagan Manley (Peterborough, Ont.) each recorded a hit.

Connor May (Oshawa, Ont.) had two stolen bases with Manley and Oliver each having one steal.
• Kevin Bowden led the Falcons going 2-for-4 at the plate with an RBI and scoring twice.
Game 1
•
Alec Brown (Bowmanville, Ont.) tossed his third complete game for a win, only allowing one earned run on three hits, three walks and six strikeouts.
• The losing pitcher for Fanshawe was starter Kale Bilger who pitched five innings with two earned runs on six hits, while walking five and striking out four batters.
• Stephen Barclay pitched one inning of relief, giving up one earned run on three hits
• Brown and Bilger each hit two batters, respectively.
Game 2
• Wowk was given the loss after pitching six innings and allowing four earned runs on eight hits, with no walks and five strikeouts

Jake Storry (Port Perry, Ont.) came in to pitch the seventh inning and had three unearned runs on four hits and a walk.
• Winning pitcher for the Falcons was Darren Dwyer who threw six innings and had one earned run on four hits, while walking five and striking out seven.
• Jake Waters pitched the bottom of the seventh, allowing no hits. He issued a walk and struck out one batter.
