KITCHENER, Ont. – A sweep of the Conestoga Condors by the Durham College women's softball team on Saturday afternoon has put them in second place in the OCAA as they reached the halfway point of the season.
The Lords walked away with easy 8-0 and 9-0 victories, led by
Ashley Black (Waterloo, Ont.) and
Emily Glendinning (Plattsville, Ont.) each earning their fourth wins of the season on the mound.
Durham's victories on Saturday come after a three-game losing streak against the Fanshawe Falcons and St. Clair Saints.
They now return home for three-straight doubleheaders to wrap up their play at Durham Field for the season.
Game 1

Ashley Black (Waterloo, Ont.) pitched the complete game, allowing no runs on three hits and a walk. She struck out seven batters.
• Jennifer Flanagan took the loss for the Condors, allowing eight earned runs on 13 hits and four walks.
Game 2
•
Emily Glendinning (Plattsville, Ont.) had an identical line to Black, pitching the complete game, allowing no runs on three hits and a walk. She also struck out seven batters.
• Anna Clifford was the losing pitcher for Conestoga, allowing five earned runs over six innings. Flanagan allowed two earned runs in one innings

Alexis Pereira (Newmarket, Ont.) led the Lords going 2-for-3 with an RBI and two walks.

Sarah Seifried (Drayton, Ont.) had a game-high two RBI to lead Durham.
Game 2
•
Makyla Morrison (Guelph, Ont.) was 2-for-3 to lead the Lords with two runs and three RBI.
• Glendinning had two RBI and was 1-for-3 from the plate.
