PETERBOROUGH, Ont. - The Durham college women's rugby team concluded the OCAA crossover tournament on Sunday with a win and a loss to lift their season record to 6-2, placing them in a tie for first in the east division.

Kaylah Moehling (Port Colborne, Ont.),
Glory Ezeude (Vaughan, Ont.), and
Brianne Hogarth (Courtice, Ont.) who all found the try zone for individual markers, and
Victoria Browne (Pickering, Ont.) who reached the try line twice, while Moehling and Browne each kicked a successful convert.
Challenging the OCAA west division first-place Humber Hawks in their second game of the day and final match of the tournament, the Lords fell 27-17. Ezeude continued her strong weekend adding two more tries in the loss to end with five total tries over the four games played. Claiming the first-ever try in Durham Lords women's rugby history last season,
Kaya Crockford-Jerome (Oshawa, Ont.) scored in the loss as well, while
Danielle Belanger (Courtice, Ont.) knocked in a convert.
Exceeding expectations through two tournaments thus far, the Lords will conclude their regular season schedule at the second OCAA east tournament on Saturday, Oct. 19 in Ottawa with games against Fleming, St. Lawrence, Algonquin, and Loyalist. The OCAA championship will follow on Saturday, Nov. 2, hosted by Loyalist College in Belleville.
