With only 18 seconds remaining and down one, Mohawk Mountaineers guard Daniel Graham (Hamilton, ON) knocked down a clutch three to lift his team to a 92-90 victory over the Niagara Knights.

Mohawk, who is the number eight nationally ranked team in the CCAA, got off to a slow start offensively, allowing Niagara to take an early nine-point lead.

While the Mountaineers were able to stay within range of the Knights all night, Niagara increased their lead to 11 heading into the final quarter.

Mohawk would knock-down eight of the teams 17-made threes in the fourth quarter to complete the comeback.

Graham for the third time this season set a new career-high in points, scoring a team-leading 30.

The coaching staff has shown a lot of trust in the third-year guard and feels his consistent scoring has helped in the Mountaineers close wins this season.

"Daniel has been scoring constant for us and with all the different lineups we've been forced to use this year, its been very welcomed," said head coach Brian Jonker.

First-year guard Stefan Anisko (Haldimand County, ON) also set a career-high with 27 points on seven made threes. In addition, Cale Calura (Hamilton, ON) contributed 14 and Raivone Young (Halifax, NS) scored 12 off the bench.

Three of Mohawk's last six games have ended with a difference of three points or less, with the Mountaineers coming out on the right side in all of them.

"We seem to be getting used to coming from behind," said Jonker. "We are showing a ton of resilience and that will always serve you well in the long run."

The first half of the season comes to close when Mohawk hosts the Sheridan Bruins on Dec. 1 at 8 p.m.
