Lords drop home doubleheader versus Saints

OSHAWA, ON - Challenging the undefeated St. Clair Saints on Saturday afternoon, the Durham College women's softball team were unable to topple the OCAA leaders, dropping a doubleheader 8-4 and 8-3.

In an exciting Game 1 that required extra innings, the Lords led most of the way but saw the Saints continue to find an equalizer. Heading into the 8th inning tied 3-3, St. Clair scored five runs to pull away and keep their undefeated streak.

Meanwhile in Game 2, the new Durham Field saw its first home runs hit by opponents as Shae-Lyn Murphy led the way for the Saints with an in-the-park effort at the first at-bat of the game and Amy Claydon added a two RBI jack in the fifth.
