WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL UNABLE TO FIND ANSWER AGAINST COLTS
Kathryn Marks and the Grizzlies couldn't get over the hump on Friday night at the Athletic Centre against the Centennial Colts
The Georgian Grizzlies women's volleyball team hosted the Centennial Colts on Friday night at the Georgian Athletic Centre in Barrie, ON.
It was a tough start for the Grizzlies as they gave up the momentum early and they battled all game trying to get it back.
It wasn't enough as the Colts were able to take the Grizzlies in straight sets 3-0 (25-15, 25-15, 25-22).
Kelsey Watson (Barrie) led the Grizzlies in points once again with eight kills and one block. Teammate Kathryn Marks (Innisfil) led the team with three blocks while also registering three kills.
Quinn McGregor (Lindsay) had five kills to go along with 10 digs.
It's Georgian's third straight loss as they fall back to 7-6 on the season and currently sit in sixth place in the OCAA east division standings.
The Grizzlies continue a busy week at home when they host the Loyalist Lancers on Saturday, Jan. 27 at 1 p.m. at the Georgian Athletic Centre.
