TORONTO, Ont. – The Durham Lords men's basketball team failed to capture the lead at any point in their 78-66 road loss versus the George Brown Huskies on Saturday night in Toronto.
The Lords were held to 16 points or less in three of the four quarters, once again struggling to keep up with their opponents bench scoring as they were outscored 21-3 in bench points. An additional 30 turnovers did not help DC as they battled to find any semblance of consistency in the tough road outing.
Durham will have just a few short days to find an answer as they next welcome the Fleming Knights to the Campus Receation and Wellness Centre this Tuesday, Nov. 12. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. with the game being streamed on
OCAA LIVE.
• Despite the tough team outing,
Romareo Stephenson (Markham Ont.) reached a team-high 20 points for the second consecutive game, appearing in all 40 minutes of the contest.
• First-year athlete
Roy Anku (Edmonton, Alta.) chipped in with 15 points on 7-for-13 shotting from the field.
• Naseem Barry tied Stephenson with a game-high 20 points for the Huskies in the win.
• Stephenson made it a double-double on the night with a game-high 14 rebounds, adding two assists and two steals.
• Kingslee D'Silva was the leading board-man for George Brown with 10 rebounds on top of his 12 points.
Overall Record: 3-9 (W-L)
