WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL FALL TO COYOTES
Kelsey Watson led the way for the Grizzlies but it wasn't enough as they fell 3-1 to La Cite on the road.
The Georgian Grizzlies women's volleyball team wrapped up their eastern road trip Saturday when they took on the La Cite Coyotes in Ottawa.
It was a tough afternoon for the Grizzlies.
After being one point away from closing out the first set, the Coyotes rallied back to score five consecutive points to take the first set 26-24.
Georgian regrouped in the second set to take it 25-16 but that was a close as they got.
The home Coyotes continued their strong play to take the final two sets to win the match 3-1 (26-24, 16-25, 25-18, 25-20).
Kelsey Watson (Barrie) led the Grizzlies in scoring with 17 points while teammate Domenica De Francesco also had a strong game with 16 points.
