No. 15 Women's Volleyball Extend Streak to Seven With Sweep of Sheridan

ETOBICOKE— No. 15 Humber women's volleyball picked up their seventh straight win, defeating the Sheridan Bruins (3-8, 7th West) Wednesday evening at the North Campus Gym, 3-0. The final set scores were 25-13, 25-16, and 25-19. 

It was the second straight dominating performance for the Hawks as they controlled this match from the outset. The Hawks attack was led by the trio of Julia Watson, Alex Krstonosic, and Shiann Williams as they all reached double figures combining to score 34 points on the night. Krstonosic led all players in scoring as she finished 13 points coming off 10 kills, two blocks, and an ace.

Humber was equally good on the defensive side of the ball allowing just eight kills total in the first two sets of the match. First-year Libero Alex LaChapelle was terrific in the game picking up 18 digs to go along with three assists.

Game Notes

  • Humber moves to 26-0 all-time against Sheridan at the North Campus Gym.
  • Alex Bartmann recorded over 30 assists for the seventh time this season.
  • With two blocks in the match, Shiann Williams now has 34 on the season.

No. 15 Humber women's volleyball (9-2, 2nd West) will wrap up their three-match homestand on Jan. 18 against the Mohawks Mountaineers (8-3, 3rd West). Tip-off is set for 1:00 pm and will be streamed live on the Hawks Sports Network.
