Allen Nets Five as Men’s Soccer Rolls By Niagara, 6-0

WELLAND – The defending national champions opened the 2019 campaign with a 6-0 win over the Niagara Knights Friday evening at the Youngs Sportsplex.

Making his Humber debut, forward Leaford Allen recorded five tallies for the Hawks. Allen's first goal game in the 22nd minute, converting in the box after receiving a pass from Federico Leal.

Allen scored his second goal in the 36th minute, and the Hawks went into the break with a 2-0 lead.

Humber's defence smothered Niagara's attack all evening, rarely allowing the Knights to cross half.

With a four-goal lead, Aziah Reid made a brilliant through pass that found a streaking Zachary Zitoli, who buried the ball in the bottom right of the net to record his first tally as a Humber Hawk.

With time expiring, Humber took a corner kick that once again found the boot of Leaford Allen, scoring his fifth goal of the match.
