OSHAWA, Ont. - In their final home game of the regular season, the Durham College men's baseball team delivered a dominant 8-1 victory over the Fanshawe Falcons on Sunday afternoon.
Proceeding action this afternoon was a special ceremony honouring the Lords graduating seniors:
Brady Turner (Toronto, Ont.),
Johnathon McIntosh (Bowmanville, Ont.),
Jake Storry (Port Perry, Ont.),
Jordan D'Amico (Courtice, Ont.),
Josh Krstulovich (Brampton, Ont.), and
Jake Legros (Whitby, Ont.). The game also marked the final home regular season contest for Durham Lords head coach
Sam Dempster as he has announced his retirement at the conclusion of the 2019 fall season.
In game action, the Lords exploded our of the gates with seven unanswered runs through the first two innings. Meanwhile, starting pitcher
Jason Crouse (Oshawa, Ont.) continued to shine following an OCAA star of the week performance last Sunday as he earned his fifth win of the season, leading the province now in both wins and complete games
Durham will look to make up some rescheduled games due to weather, beginning tomorrow evening in Sarnia against the Lambton Lions. Following the end of the regular season, Durham College will then play host to the four best teams in the province for the OCAA championship from Oct. 18-19 at Kinsmen Stadium.

Griffin Oliver (Oshawa, Ont.),
Sam Cawker (Courtice, Ont.), and Storry all recorded two hits in the win, highlighted by a two RBI triple from Cawker in the first inning. Cawker finished the afternoon 2-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored.
• Crouse went a full seven innings for the third time this season, allowing just five hits and one earned run, while striking out eight Fanshawe batters.
