Softball Looking to Re-Write Ending With Fresh Start

Windsor, ON – The St. Clair College Women's Softball team open their 2022 OCAA season with a pair of games in Hamilton Saturday before hosting a 3-team round robin Sunday at the SportsPark diamond. 

In the home opener on Sunday the Saints will take on Lambton College (Sarnia) at 10:30am and then face Fanshawe College (London) at 3:30pm.  Between those match-ups Lambton will meet Fanshawe at 1:00pm. 

St. Clair travels to Mohawk Sports Park in Hamilton on Saturday to meet host Mohawk College at 11:00am and Conestoga College (Kitchener) at 2:00pm. 

The Saints return all their OCAA league all-stars from last season's silver medal team including the 2021 Player of the Year in pitcher/first baseman Amy Claydon (Cambridge, ON) and Rookie of the Year in shortstop Shae-Lyn Murphy (Windsor, ON/Holy Names).  Catcher/outfielder Julia Brusseau (Lakeshore, ON/St. Anne) and outfielder Judy Lafleur (Essex, ON/Essex) are the other returning league all-stars for the Saints. 

St. Clair's lineup was further strengthened by the addition of transfer infielder/pitcher Bryanna Kressler (Kitchener, ON), outfielder Sierra Baltzer (LaSalle, ON), utility player Madison Barber (Caledon, ON) and pitcher Mckenna Copley (Dover Centre, ON). 

St. Clair has won four silver medals and a bronze in the past five OCAA seasons.
