OSHAWA, Ont. - The Durham College baseball team earned their first win of the season, defeating the visiting Lambton Lions 6-3 on Sunday afternoon at Kinsmen Stadium in Oshawa.
This marked the first meeting between the two teams as the Lions join OCAA league play this season.
Durham will now travel to Peterborough for two exhibition contests on Wednesday, Sept 11 against the Trent Excalibur and Fleming Knights, before returning to Kinsmen for more OCAA league action on Saturday, Sept. 14 against the Seneca Sting.

• Four different Lords drove in runs in the tightly contested Sunday afternoon victory.

Jakob Watson (Maple, Ont.) led the way in the batter's box, delivering a two-run double on a 1-for-3 day at the plate.
• Riley Gray (Caledonia, Ont.),
Jordan D'Amico (Courtice, Ont.), and
Zackery Elson (Omemee, Ont.) each added a single RBI for the Lords.
• Finishing out their first weekend of OCAA action in Oshawa, Garrett Miller picked up the lone RBI for the Lions.

• Pitching 5.1 innings,
Josh Krstulovich (Brampton, Ont.) earned the win for the Lords, striking out eight while allowing two earned runs on just three hits.

Johnathon McIntosh (Bowmanville, Ont.) picked up the save in relief throwing 1.2 innings of shutout baseball, adding two strikeouts.
• Lambton pitcher Paul Sheeler was handed the loss, giving up six earned runs on five hits and two walks in 5.1 innings of work.
