GRIZZLIES MEN'S VOLLEYBALL RESPOND WITH IMPRESSIVE SWEEP OF STING

The Georgian Grizzlies men's volleyball team hosted their first home game of the second half of their OCAA regular season schedule on Friday night at the Georgian Athletic Centre in Barrie.
Coming off their first regular season loss in nearly two years, the Grizzlies men's team responded in a big way.
Putting together an inspired effort the Grizzlies dominated the Sting in a 3-0 sweep with set scores of 25-11, 25-16 and 25-21.
Jordi Romero (Brampton) led a balanced Georgian attack with 10 kills while Darien Haynes (Barrie) and Jake Edwards (Barrie) each had nine kills and one ace.
The Grizzlies are the first team in the east division to reach double-digits in wins as they now hold a 10-1 record and sit in first place in the division standings.
The Grizzlies will next travel to face their rivals, the Durham Lords this coming Tuesday, Jan. 23 in Oshawa. Georgian will then begin a stretch of their final three home regular season games starting on Friday, Jan. 26 when they host the Centennial Colts at the Georgian Athletic Centre.
The game gets underway at 8 p.m. Tickets for the game are available at the doors for $5.
