Panthers back to winning ways

(Oshawa, ON) – The Canadore Panthers men's volleyball team head on the road for a couple matches. First stop was in Oshawa, ON against Durham Lords.

The first two sets saw the Lords take identical 25-16 results, putting the Panthers on their heels. With the Panthers 2 games win streak in jeopardy, Canadore went out in the third set to try and force a fourth set. The Lords continue their strong play winning and completing the sweep over the Panthers 25-22.

Lane Cote (New Liskeard, ON) had 9 kills for the Panthers, while Konrad Siedlec (Cambridge, ON), Steve Bidal (North Bay, ON), and Kyle McDiarmid (North Bay, ON) posted four each. Tristan Godmire (Ottawa, ON) earned 19 out of Canadore' s 26 assists.

Next for the Panthers will be at Fleming Knights on Nov 6. First serve is slated for 2 p.m. and will be streamed live on OCAA LIVE.

 

(Peterborough, ON) – After being swept 3-0 by the Lords, the Canadore Panthers men's volleyball team look to bounce back and split their weekend with a win over the Knights in Peterborough, ON.

The Panthers came out strong in the first two sets winning both 25-22, and 25-15. Canadore had the Knights on their heels and were hoping to complete the sweep. Fleming bounced back winning the next two sets 25-22, 25-18, forcing a fifth and final set with the Panthers.

Behind the strong play of Steve Bidal (North Bay, ON), and Lane Cote (New Liskeard, ON) the Panthers won the fifth and final set 15-11. Ethan Lucas (Sydenham, ON), and Konrad Siedlec (Cambridge, ON) both added to the offence with 9 kills each.

Next for the Panthers will be at home to take on Seneca Sting on Nov. 12. First serve is slated for 3 p.m. and will be streamed live on OCAA LIVE.
