Men’s Basketball Depth Helps in Sheridan Win

Brampton, ON – On the second day of their GTA road trip the St. Clair College Men's Basketball team were able to use their depth and fashion a high paced 80-72 win over Sheridan College (Brampton) on Sunday afternoon.  The win ends a small 2-game skid and gives the Saints a 4-2 record in the always competitive OCAA West Division.

St. Clair led by a slim margin (20-19) after the first quarter but a strong second saw them take a 42-31 advantage into the locker room at halftime.  Sheridan applied some full court pressure to try and cut into the deficit the remainder of the game, but the Saints broke it for easy points in the paint.  The St. Clair bench outscored Sheridan 25-12 and allowed for a 15-point lead in the fourth quarter.

St. Clair's Chad Vincent-Simon (Scarborough, ON) led the team with 17 points to go with 6 rebounds.  Terence Williams (Windsor, ON) scored 13 points with teammate Jalen Harmon (Ypsilanti, MI) also reaching double digits with 10 points for the Saints.  Shakael Pryce (Pickering, ON) had a good all-around game for St. Clair recording a double-double with 10 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists.

Mohamud Qasim (Toronto, ON) had a game high 25 points for Sheridan in a losing cause.

The Saints come home to meet Fanshawe College (London) on Friday at 8:00pm.
