No. 4 Women's Volleyball sweeps Conestoga in home opener

ETOBICOKE— No. 4 Humber women's volleyball opened the 2022 campaign with a win, defeating the Conestoga Condors Thursday evening at the North Campus Gym, 3-0. The final set scores were 25-16, 25-12, and 25-15.

Rookie left side Erika Dodd led the way for Humber on the night finishing with a team-high 11 points coming on nine kills and two aces.

Fourth-year Setter Alex Bartmann was equally impressive in the win, collecting 17 assists to go along with five points and two digs.

The opening set was tight early on until Humber was able to pull away at the midway point with Alex Bartmann at the service line. Bartmann recorded three of the Humber's five aces in the frame as Humber took the opener set, 25-16.

Humber controlled the second from the jump, taking a quick 13-4 lead forcing a Conestoga timeout. The Condors were unable to work their way as the Hawks took the set convincingly, 25-12.

The final set was again all Humber as they capped off a strong opening night performance taking the match in straight sets, 3-0.
