Box Score OSHAWA, Ont. – The Durham College women's volleyball team made quick work of the Fleming Knights on Thursday night with a straight sets victory.
The Lords are 6-0 to start conference play and have won four straight matches in straight sets. The last time Durham started the year with six wins was 2007-08 in hall of famer Stan Marchut's final year as coach. That year, the Lords were 7-0 to start and finished with a 13-2 record.
Durham set the tone in Thursday's opening set by only allowing six points against taking it 25-6. Fleming was able to fight back but not enough to take a set as the Lords won the next two sets by scores of 25-16 and 25-12.

Tony Clarke was able to roll his lineup with 11 players appearing in the match.
Allison Marshall (Orillia, Ont.) paced the Lords' offence with eight kills on 16 attacks while picking up two aces.
Erinn Marshall (Orillia, Ont.) also had a big night converting on six of 14 attacks with one ace and three digs.
Shannon Dean (Whitby, Ont.) had a .636 attack percentage converting on seven of 11 attacks to go along with three blocks. Playing in her first year in the OCAA, Dean entered the match second in league scoring averaging 4.4 points per set.
Defensively, Camille LeFaive (Whitby, Ont.) had a team high 12 dig performance. She also ran the Lords offence with 28 assists.
The Knights were led by Madeline Belsey who had seven kills and 15 digs.
Durham will continue their string of playing on five straight Thursdays on Nov. 24 at home against the George Brown Huskies (1-4). First serve at the CRWC is 6 p.m.
Durham, Niagara (5-0) and Humber (4-0) are the only two teams in the conference without a loss. Humber and Niagara will clash next week in Welland.
