OSHAWA, Ont. - The Durham College women's basketball team knocked off the visiting George Brown Huskies 71-57 on Tuesday night at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Centre.
The victory marks the fifth consecutive win for the green and gold, lifting their record on the season to 8-2. Durham now sits alone in second place in the OCAA east division after picking up the vital win over the Huskies who drop to third with a 7-3 mark. On the night, DC was exceptional on the boards, outrebounding George Brown 52-37. The strong interior play resulted in 28 points in the paint, and six second chance points for the Lords.
DC will now begin a three game road trip starting on Friday, Jan. 24 in Barrie versus the Georgian Grizzlies. The Lords defeated the Grizzlies 73-29 earlier this season in their opener. Action is set to start at 6 p.m., and will be streamed on

Kendra Oliver (Ajax, Ont.) continued her strong rookie campaign with another 20-plus point effort, finishing the evening 7-for-17 from the floor and 8-for-10 from the charity stripe for 24 points.
• Two more Lords broke double-digits with
Emily Glendinning (Plattsville, Ont.) scoring 17 and
Sierra Oliver (Ajax, Ont.) registering 14 points in the win.
• The lone bright spot for the Huskies offence, Victoria Lawrence recorded a game-high 25 points in the loss

• Her eighth double-double of the season, Kendra added 19 rebounds, coming one short of recording her second 20-20 game of the season.
• Despite standing just 5'6,
Andrea Zulich (Sudbury, Ont.) grabbed 10 boards for the Lords, adding six assists, five steals, and nine points in the all-around performance.
• GBC forward Coco Sauve led the Huskies with a team-high 10 rebounds.
