Box Score PETERBOROUGH, ON - Winning their second game in four days, the Durham College men's soccer team shut out the Fleming Knights 3-0 in Peterborough on Saturday afternoon.
First-year striker
Skylar Grey (Ajax, ON) shined for the Lords in the win, scoring two goals in the opening ten minutes of the road contest. Just five minutes into the match, Skylar opened the scoring, before adding a second goal off his foot just four minutes later in the 9th minute of action.
Controlling play through the remainder of the match, it was the hero from Wednesday night's come-from-behind win
Kallum Holdsworth (Orillia, ON) who finished off the scoring for DC, notching his second goal of the season in the 60th minute.
Garrett Werner (Ajax, ON) earned the clean sheet in net for the Lords.
Durham will next travel to Scarborough to face the Centennial Colts on Tuesday, Oct. 5. The teams last meeting came on Wednesday when the Lords came back from a one goal deficit to win 2-1 in the final 10 minutes. Kick off for the rematch is scheduled for 8:15 p.m. Â
