Box Score OTTAWA, Ont. - The Durham College Women's basketball team failed to ride the momentum of a massive season opener after suffering a 68-60 defeat in Ottawa versus the Algonquin Thunder on Friday night.

The Lords were held in check offensively as they were limited to 13,13,15 and 19 points respectively in each quarter, only outscoring the Thunder in the second quarter 13-12. The Lords were all over the rebounds securing 44 boards, coming down with over 70 percent of defensive rebounds. The difference in the game came down to turnovers, as the Lords turned the ball over 24 times leading to 16 of Algonquin's points.

Durham will have a week to move forward and game-plan for the St. Lawrence Vikings who come to Oshawa on Saturday, Nov. 1. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m., with the game being streamed on
OCAA LIVE.

Andrea Zulich (Sudbury, Ont.) led the Lords with 20 points, scoring eigh field goals and four free throws.
• Second-year forward
Marie Stasiuk (Cobourg, Ont.) tallied 13 more points for Durham.
• Sylvie Strong, Rita Sibo, Sierra Peck, and Michaela Branker each scored over 10 point for Algonquin.

• Stasiuk came down with a total of eight rebounds on the night, six defensive and two offensive.
• First-year forward
Kendra Oliver (Ajax, Ont.) could not be stopped in the paint as she had five of Durham's 18 offensive rebounds.
• Sibo secured a game-high nine total rebounds in the win for the Thunder.
