Mohawk Mountaineers men's volleyball took care of business with a 3-0 (25-22, 25-17, 25-19) sweep of the Sheridan Bruins.

Peter Pilling (St. Catharines, ON) had 29 assists, spreading the ball well to each of his hitters. Andrew Hutchins (Courtice, ON) has come on nicely these last few games for Mohawk and led the way with seven kills, while Jacob Gasiorowski (Hamilton, ON) and Ethan May (Dunnville, ON) each had six.

Preparation was important for the Mountaineers heading into this match.

"Sheridan had big wins this season, but I think we came prepared," said head coach Brad McClure. "For us, service pressure and defence were great. I also think offensively we were quick enough to get the victory."

Mohawk has three remaining games on the season ahead of OCAA playoffs.

"We are going to come out and compete," McClure said about the remainder of the season. "Now is the time that you want to peak, and our practices are going to be focused on getting to provincials."

Conestoga Condors are up next for the Mountaineers on Feb. 1 at 8 p.m. at the DBARC.
