MISSISSAUGA, Ont. - The Durham Lords men's basketball team dropped their regular season finale 66-52 to the University of Toronto-Mississauga Eagles on Sunday afternoon in Mississauga.
A tough season for the Lords, they finish the 2019-20 campaign with a 5-15 record, placing them outside the playoff picture in ninth place in the OCAA east division.
Despite shooting a better field goal percentage than the Eagles and out-rebounding them on the afternoon, the Lords struggled with turnovers. DC were charged with 28 turnovers to just 14 for the Eagles, allowing UTM to score 30 points off of turnovers.
A young squad with only one player beyond their second year of eligibility, DC will look to a strong offseason and returning continuity to prepare for the 2020-21 campaign beginning next fall.
