Mohawk Mountaineers men's soccer lost to the Fanshawe Falcons 8-0.

The momentum of the game shifted after the Mountaineers scored in the opening minutes, but were called for offside. Mohawk wasn't able to find anymore scoring opportunities after that.

The Mountaineers were forced to play with a short bench in this match.

"You always need extra guys to hold players accountable and make any change to the game," said head coach Jordan Brown. "Having a short bench had an impact. We could have used some extra bodies because the guys that were on the field tried their best, but sometimes it's not enough."

With three games remaining on the schedule, Mohawk will play cross-city rivals the Redeemer Royals on Oct. 7 at Dave Mantel Field beginning at 8 p.m.
