The Georgian Grizzlies women's basketball team travelled to take on the Durham Lords on Friday night in Oshawa.
a shorthanded Grizzlies group were in tough against the tough Durham Lords.
The Grizzlies found themselves in a big hole early and they were unable to recover as they fell 70-37.
Chelsey Lees (Elliot Lake) had a season-high 16 points in the contest including three 3-pointers while teammates Eden Young (Tottenham) and Mckenzie Howlett (Barrie) each had eight points in the loss.
The Grizzlies will now return home when they host the Seneca Sting on Friday, Feb. 8 with the women's game beginning at 6 p.m. followed by the men's game at 8 p.m.
Tickets to all Grizzlies home games are available to the public for $5 each.
