February 10th 2020…WELLAND – The Niagara College Knights men's volleyball team improved to 10-6 this season with a 3-0 (25-19, 25-19, 25-21) sweep of the Sheridan Bruins (7-10) Sunday afternoon.
Sunday's win marks the second win of the week for the Knights, after defeating the Redeemer Royals 4-1 Thursday at home.
Sam Otten led the way for the Knights with 18 points (13K, 2 SA, 3B) while Elijah Bugiardini followed up with 14 points (10K,3SA, 1BS).
"I thought for the second match in a row we approached the match with the right mindset and played a very complete game," said head coach Tommy Sloan. "Despite slower starts in each set than we would have liked, we stayed patient and played fantastic volleyball after the 16 point mark."
The Knights will look head to this weekend's games with Cambrian College (0-16) on Saturday night, and Boreal College (2-14) on Sunday afternoon. This weekend will mark the final regular season games for Niagara.
