OSHAWA, Ont. - The Durham Lords men's basketball team suffered a tough home loss, falling 92-66 to the visiting George Brown Huskies on Tuesday night at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Centre.
The Lords faced a tall task in challenging the first place Huskies. George Brown showcased exceptional ball movement in the win, registering 20 assists to just nine for Durham. This led to good looks from beyond the arc for the Huskies who nailed 10 three pointers in the win, shooting nearly 35 percent from three. Despite another poor result, the Lords were able to shoot over 43 percent from the field as a team and saw increased bench scoring which accounted for more than a third of DC's points on the night.
Durham will look to end their slide on the road as they get set to start a three game road trip, beginning in Barrie this Friday, Jan. 24 versus the Georgian Grizzlies. Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m., with the action being streamed on
OCAA LIVE.
