Durham falls to Centennial on the road

Box Score SCARBOROUGH, ON - Traveling to Scarborough to face the Centennial Colts for the second time this season, the Lords split their season series after falling 2-1 on Tuesday night.

Emily Arn (West Lorne, ON) opened the scoring with the lone goal for the Lords in the 30th minute. Arn's effort was a highlight for the Lords, scoring from outside the 18-yard box.

Following Arn's goal, it was the Colts who took advantage of scoring opportunities through the remaining 60 minutes, as Nailah Rowe scored two on strong counter-attacks to secure the lead and the win for Centennial.

"Centennial had a game plan, were discipline with their defense, and we just could not find a way to break them down to create any good scoring chances," said DC women's soccer head coach Alex Bianchi post-game. "They took advantage of the opportunities they had and capitalized on them, so we will have some work to do ahead of our match on Friday."

Durham will next host their regular season finale on Friday, Oct 8 at Vaso's Field where they will challenge the St. Lawrence Surge. In a match earlier in the season the Surge came out on top 3-1. Kick off is set for 6 p.m. with the game also being streamed on OCAA LIVE.
  Overall Record: 3-3-1 (W-L-D)
Conference Record: 3-2-0

Next match: Friday, Oct. 8 vs. St. Lawrence Surge (6 p.m. - Vaso's Field)
