The Seneca Sting (1-4) won their first match of the season, overcoming an 0-2 deficit to defeat the Algonquin Thunder (1-2) in five sets.
After falling into an 0-2 hole, the Sting stormed back to take the final three sets, including a thrilling fifth set 15-13. Sting captain David Lazarev closed the evening with a crowd-roaring ace to clinch head coach Brian Singh's first OCAA win.
