No. 6-ranked Mountaineers women's volleyball defeated the Conestoga Condors 3-0 (25-19, 25-14, 25-13) for their fifth win of the season.

Mohawk has now won 11 consecutive versus Conestoga dating back to 2015.

This was also the Mountaineers first action back on the court since their match versus Humber on Feb. 19.

"With it being reading week it was tough, our routine kind of got screwed up," head coach Matthew Schnarr said. "But our win was a good response to losing against Humber and then having a game cancelled. I thought we played really well."

Schnarr highlighted the offensive play of Lexie Zicari (Burlington, ON) and continues to be impressed by the consistency from his libero team.

Julia Watson (Burlington, ON) led Mohawk with eight kills, while Zicari and Rachel Vanderwal (Hamilton, ON) each had seven. Kaelyn Emslie (St. Catharines, ON) had seven aces in the match.

The Mountaineers (5-1) next play on Mar. 2 on the road versus the Sheridan Bruins at 6 p.m.
