The women's basketball squad won their second game in as many days with a great team victory over the visiting Centennial Colts.
Second year player Cianah Miller was electric right out of the gates with a 10-point first quarter to help push her team to an early 17-13 lead. The Lancers went on an 11-1 run to start the second, playing with intensity and drive at both ends of the court.
With a 10-point lead going into the second half, the home team continued to dominate the basket, scoring a game total of 38 points in the paint compared to Centennial's 4. The Lancers widened the gap to 24 in the final quarter before finishing on the winning side of a 73-60 decision.
Miller led the game in scoring with an impressive, career high 26 points and 14 rebounds, with 7 steals and 6 assists. Jessyka Maliksi added 16 points to the win and teammate Chelsea Taylor came off the bench to contribute 13 points and 7 rebounds.
The win improves the Lancers' team record to 3-2 on the season with two games left before the break.
