SAULT STE. MARIE, Ont. - The Durham College men's soccer team were firing on all cylinders with a 10-0 shutout win over the Sault Cougars on Saturday afternoon.
It took just three minutes for the Lords to find the back of the net in the offensive showcase as
Marcellus Paul (Courtice, Ont.) scored his first of two goals in the game. Four different DC players matched the feat of scoring a pair of goals. Durham added three more goals in the opening half with
LeRohne Young (Oshawa, Ont.) scoring the first of his pair and
Nick Payne (Pickering, Ont.) netting two.
In the second half possession remained with the Lords as the scored six more goals. Fifth-year veteran
Colin Reilly (Whitby, Ont.) opened second half scoring in the 49th minute, followed by the first of two from
Joshua Lee (Ajax, Ont.), a second from Young, Paul's second, a single marker from 2018 OCAA east scoring champion
Jeremy Bangala (Pickering, Ont.), and the second from Lee.
Kevon Grant (Oshawa, Ont.) and
Dylan Toland (Ajax, Ont.) combined for the clean sheet in net.
The northern road trip continues tomorrow afternoon with the Lords challenging the Cambrian Golden Shield. Kick-off for the Sunday afternoon contest is scheduled for 2:30 p.m.
