Nationally ranked Lords upend Centennial

OSHAWA, Ont. – The No. 11 ranked Durham College men's volleyball team picked up their seventh win of the year with a 3-1 victory over the Centennial Colts.
 
Durham cruised to victory in the opening two sets winning by scores of 25-13 and 25-14. Things would flip in the third set with Centennial pulling off a 25-20 win but Durham managed to bounce back in the fourth clinching the game with a 25-18 set win.
 
Bret Polfuss (Kitchener, Ont.) led the way for Durham's offence with 10 kills, two aces and one block. Harrison Wood (Uxbridge, Ont.) continued his strong play with seven kills and two blocks in two sets while Andrew Watson (Uxbridge, Ont.) had eight kills, two blocks and one ace in three sets.
 
John Pham (Mississauga, Ont.) quarterbacked the Lords offence leading the way with 32 assists.
 
John Fillion paced the Colts offence with eight kills on ten attacks.

Durham remains in second place with a 7-1 record, trailing Georgian (8-0) by one game. The Lords close out conference play on Wednesday night on the road against the Seneca Sting (4-3). Game time in North York is 8 p.m.
