Undefeated No More

The Seneca Sting entered the game undefeated, but trailed early and never caught up, falling 75-62 to the Durham Lords.

Trailing by 21-9 after the first quarter, the Sting closed the Lords' lead to four points midway through the second quarter at 28-24. The push by the Sting seemed to wake up the Lords who spent the second half of the quarter regaining their twelve point lead, taking a 37-25 lead into halftime.

The Sting made a mild run early in the second half, but could not close to within striking distance the remainder of the game. The Lords expanded their lead to seventeen after three quarters before the Sting played their best quarter of the game, scoring twenty-three in the final frame.

Tiffany McNeil led the Sting with 17 points to go along with 4 steals. Taylor Allicock added 12 points and 4 assists while Chelsea Ramsay finished with 11 points. Laetitia Siala (11 rebounds) and Melody Lucena (9 rebounds) had strong games in the paint.

The Lords were led by Maddie Dender who scored 28 points. Dekota Kirby (14 points), Keisah Arthurworrey (13 points, 14 rebounds) and Alyssa Navarro (11 points, 6 rebounds) also reached double-digits in scoring.
