OSHAWA, Ont. – Things continued to go the Lords way on Saturday as they easily earned a 3-0 victory over the Centennial Colts at home to improve to 15-0 and lock up top spot in the OCAA east division.
For Durham College, this now guarantees they will host a crossover match on Feb. 16 to play for their spot in the OCAA women's volleyball championship. By clinching first place this weekend the Lords have won the east division title for the first time since 2016-17, when they went 18-0.
Conference play is quickly coming to a close for the Lords as they have three matches remaining.
They travel to George Brown this week to face the Huskies on Bell Let's Talk Day before returning home for take on the Seneca Sting in their final home conference match of the year on Thursday, Feb. 7.

Cassidy Nicholson-Clarke (Ajax, Ont.),
Jessica Joensen (Pickering, Ont.),
Allyson Terwillegar (Enniskillen, Ont.) and
Althea Boncheff (Alliston, Ont.) were the four leaders.
• Joensen led with nine kills, while Nicholson-Clarke had a match-high three blocks.
• Emily Joe had Centennial's team-high 10 points in the match.
• Defensively Boncheff and Terwillegar had team-high totals of nine digs apiece. The offence was quarterbacked through the duo of
Megan Romain (Ajax, Ont.) and
Georgi Williams (Whitby, Ont.) who finished with 13 and 12 assists respectively.
• Kayla Lui assisted on 17 of Centennial's 20 kills, while Ashlyn Girard had the Colts team-high of eight digs.
