HUSKIES COMBACK FALLS JUST SHORT

The George Brown Huskies women's volleyball team's comeback fell short as they dropped a 3-2 (16-25, 19-25, 25-13, 25-23, 20-22) decision to the Loyalist Lancers on Sunday afternoon.

NOTABLE STATS: After finding themselves in a 2-0 hole, George Brown fought back to force a fifth-set. They had chances to complete the comeback but weren't able to.

Fourth-year outside hitter Angelique Agustin led with a match-high 16 points off of 11 kills and five aces. Third-year outside hitter/libero Ashley Lau tallied 13 points on 10 kills and three aces.

Second-year middle Crystal Nguyen posted a career-high 12 points on five kills, two aces and five blocks. First-year libero Dahee Kim chipped in with a match-high 14 digs in the loss.

UP NEXT: The Huskies continue their road swing next week when they travel to battle the Canadore Panthers (2-0) on Saturday afternoon. First serve is at 1 pm.
