HAMILTON, Ont. - The Durham College women's softball team ended their OCAA regular season schedule with two convincing wins over the Mohawk Mountaineers, 11-5 and 12-0, on Friday evening in Hamilton.
The Lords offence has been unstoppable over the last four games, outscoring their opponents 40-11.
After claiming CCSA national silver a week ago, Durham now head into the OCAA championship next weekend in fine form. The provincial tournament is scheduled for Oct. 19-20 in Kitchener with the first two quarter-final games scheduled for Friday at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
Game 1
• The Lords scored runs in five of the seven innings, capped off by a three run seventh.

Kaitlyn Hickey (Oshawa, Ont.) continued her CCSA all-star form, recording a 4-for-5 line from the plate, registering two RBI and one run scored.
•
Madigan McGhee (Ajax, Ont.),
Julia Mantler (Drayton, Ont.), and
Jaimie Clarke (Elmvale, Ont.) all recorded two RBI on the night.
Game 2
• Continuing her hot streak in the batters box,
Kaleigh MacIntyre (Guelph, Ont.) went 3-for-4 from the plate, driving in three RBI and crossing the plate three times herself.
• Both
Andrea Patrick (Whitby, Ont.) and
Sarah Seifried (Drayton, Ont.) delivered a perfect 3-for-3 performance, with Patrick recording two RBI and Seifried scoring one along with three runs.
Game 1
• Pitching seven complete innings, Patrick earned the victory, allowing just five hits and no earned runs, while striking out five.
Game 2
•
Ashley Black (Waterloo, Ont.) pitched a near perfect five innings, shutting out the Mountaineers, striking out eight, while allowing just four hits.
