Box Score OTTAWA, Ont. – The Durham College men's basketball team ended their weekend trip to Ottawa with a 100-68 victory over the La Cité Coyotes.
 
That comes after a narrow 90-80 loss to the Algonquin Thunder on Saturday.
 
Funsho Dimeji (Malton, Ont.) had the game's lone double-double on Sunday, finishing with 23 points and 10 rebounds. Teammate Gareth Baugh (Mississauga, Ont.) finished with a season-high 19 points.
 
Although the victory was large for the Lords, they only led by six after one quarter and eight at halftime. They then exploded for 41 points in the third quarter to open their lead – earning their lopsided victory even with La Cité outscoring them in the fourth.
 
Maleek Ekumba was the Coyotes top scorer, finishing with 11 points.
 
On Saturday, against the Algonquin Thunder, the Lords trailed by one after a quarter and led by eight at halftime. Their lead was cut to three after three quarters and eventually the Thunder came back to win 90-80.
 
Dimeji had the only double-double of the game again, this time with 10 points and 10 rebounds, while Brandon Halliburton (Brampton, Ont.) led the Lords with 24 points.
 
Dondre Huggins (Scarborough, Ont.) had a career-high 21 points, topping his total of 20 from Jan. 28, 2017, in the loss.
 
Algonquin had Kevin Metelus finish with 21 points. The Thunder also had Michael Soy, Brendan Stoqua and Vule Grujic each score 19 points.
 
This Friday night the Lords return home and will face the Fleming Knights. Tip off at the CRWC is 7 p.m.
