Box Score 2 WINDSOR, Ont. – Getting their longest road trip out of the way to start the season, the Durham College women's softball team opened with a pair of victories over the St. Clair Saints on Saturday.
To begin the day the Lords defeated the Saints 7-2, which they followed with a 3-1 win.
Ashley Black (Waterloo, Ont.) and
Andrea Patrick (Whitby, Ont.) earned the victories on the mound.
The Lords finish their weekend with a doubleheader in London on Sunday against the Fanshawe Falcons.
GAME 1
•
Courtney McKellar (Alvinston, Ont.) led the Lords going 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBIs.
•
Kaleigh MacIntyre (Guelph, Ont.) hit a two-run home run in the victory.
GAME 2
• McKellar's bat was hot again, this time going 3-for-4 with two singles, a double and two RBIs.
• Julia Mantler (Drayton, Ont.) earned two singles, while
Madigan McGhee (Ajax, Ont.) and
Nicole Mancini (Toronto, Ont.) each had a single.
GAME 1
• Black had the complete game victory. She struck out four batters and allowed only three hits.
• Olivia Elliott was the losing pitcher for St. Clair
GAME 2
• Patrick went six innings in the victory, striking out eight and allowing only one run on six hits.
Emily Glendinning (Plattsville, Ont.) closed the game out in relief.
• Hannah Desrosiers was the losing pitcher for the Saints.
