Fourth quarter proves costly for Lords

OTTAWA, Ont. – After picking up their first win of the season the day prior, the Durham College men's basketball team were unable to duplicate the results as they fell 79-72 to the La Cite Coyotes in Ottawa on Saturday.

DC found themselves in good position on several occasions leading 20-17 after the first quarter and 53-52 at the end of three. However, the Coyotes shot over 50 percent from the floor in the fourth quarter, outscoring the Lords 27-19 to earn the home victory.

Durham will now return to the Campus Recreation and Wellness Centre where they will challenge the St. Lawrence Vikings on Friday, Nov. 1. Tip-off is set for 8 p.m. with the game being streamed on OCAA LIVE.
  • First-year forward Gabriel Andre (Ottawa, Ont.) was exceptional for the Lords in the loss scoring a team-high 25 points on an efficient 10-for-13 from the field.
