2022 Women's Volleyball Graduating Student-Athletes

Before the game, the Huskies honour two graduating student-athletes and all of them made an impact on the program during their time here.

"It's going to be weird to play without these two student-athletes. That's the first thing that comes to mind," head coach Daphne Choi explained. "They've been around the time I have been here. So, it's a strange feeling to think that these athletes won't be a part this culture here. But what's really important here is that they set the tone. Those athletes have done their jobs to set the example, be mentors to the other athletes, lead by example and have left it in really good hands. They have developed the communication and trust that we really wanted prior to me joining the team. They were an integral part in making that happen. We're sad to see them go, but because of them, we're in really good shape."

#16 Jasmin Walia
She was brought on to the Huskies program in 2017. The setter has been tasked with running and executing plays for the offence for the last four seasons and is a big reason why the program has taken significant steps in the right direction over that time. She has appeared in 45 career matches, averaging 5.89 assists per match while adding 0.9 points per set. In addition, Walia's commitment to her development resulted in her receiving the Kimchan Fitness Award in 2019. She will be graduating from the Health Information Management program.

#12 Megi Mamcaj

She walked on to the program during the 2019-20 season, making her first appearance in the second half of the season. However, it did not take long for her to make a name for herself in the OCAA, as she regularly displayed both her offensive power and defensive instincts. Memcaj was asked to play numerous positions and made an impact every time. She has averaged 2.5 points off 2.07 kills per set in 15 career matches. She brought the same level of concentration and intensity to the classroom, making Honour Roll in both academic semesters last year. She will be graduating from the Business Administration program.
