St. Clair College Men’s Baseball Beat Seneca then Postpone

Markham, ON – The St. Clair College Men's Baseball team defeated Seneca College (North York) 12-1 on Saturday in a mercy shortened six innings at Markham's Bishops Cross Park but were suspended due to rain in the second game of the doubleheader trailing 6-3 in the 4th inning.  The remainder of the second game will be rescheduled to a date later this season.

In the opening game the Saints led 2-1 after the first inning but reeled off three runs in the 4th, four runs in the 5th and three more in the 6th to complete the scoring.  St. Clair starter Evan Ferguson (Windsor, ON/St. Joseph's) gave up just two hits and run over his six innings of work but struck out 8 Seneca batters on the way to the victory.

Catcher Henry Real (Panama City, Panama) and first baseman Colin Robinson (Windsor, ON/Kennedy) each had a homer to pace the Saints offensively.  Robinson added a double for his 3-hit game that included two RBI's.  Real also had two RBI's with his two hits while outfielder Austin Tilson (Windsor, ON/Sandwich) had two singles and a pair of RBI's.  Brandon Culnan (Tecumseh, ON/L'Essor) continued with a hot bat with two singles and double on his 3-hit day.

St. Clair completes their GTA road trip on Sunday against George Brown College (Toronto) in a doubleheader at Lisgar Fields in Mississauga with game times of 1:00/3:00pm.
