BELLEVILLE, Ont. - The Durham College women's basketball team handed the Loyalist Lancers their first loss of the season, winning on the road 69-49 Tuesday night in Belleville.

Once again the Lords offered up one of the best defences in the province, forcing the Lancers into 25 turnovers while also holding Loyalist to just six points in the third quarter. In addition to the teams outstanding defence, Durham also dominated down low, outscoring the Lancers 46-16 in the paint.

The Lords will next challenge the George Brown Huskies on Saturday, Nov. 9 in Toronto. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m., with the game being streamed on
OCAA LIVE.

Marie Stasiuk (Cobourg, Ont.) knocked in a game-high and season-high 19 points in the win for the Lords
• Fellow forward
Kendra Oliver (Ajax, Ont.) was also impressive offensively recording 16 points, while
Andrea Zulich (Sudbury, Ont.) rounded out the double-digit scoring with 10.
• Brittany Mason led the way for the Lancers with 15 points in the loss.

Kendra Oliver continued her strong season on the boards, grabbing a game-high 14 rebounds, while sister
Sierra Oliver (Ajax, Ont.) also pulled down 10.
• Both Zulich and Stasiuk also filled up the stat sheet with the defensive minded guard recording six steals, five rebounds, and five assists, while the power forward registered nine rebounds, four assists, and three steals.Â
• Ayana Tomlinson was the lone Lancers to record double-digit rebounds, pulling down 11 boards.
