Box Score 2 HAMILTON, Ont. - The Durham College women's softball team earned back-to-back wins in Hamilton, defeating the Mohawk Mountaineers 10-0 and 11-3 on Saturday afternoon.
The Lords outhit the Mountaineers 32-12 in the two contests combined, while receiving stellar pitching to lift their current winning streak to eight straight games and secure their place at the OCAA championship.
Currently in first place in the OCAA with a 17-5 record and 34 points, the Lords can finish no less than second place following the two Saturday wins.
Durham will end the regular season this Tuesday, Oct. 8 with another doubleheader versus the Mountaineers, but this time at Durham Field for the Lords home finale. DC will honour their graduating athletes at the final regular season game, with first pitch scheduled for 6 p.m.
GAME 1
• The Lords hits leader this season
Nicole Mancini (Toronto, Ont.) opened the afternoon with a two RBI, 3-for-5 Game 1.
• Veteran outfielder
Caleigh Coels (Duncan, B.C.) added two RBI as well in the dominant Lords win, finishing 3-for-4 at the plate.
GAME 2
• Mancini had another stellar game in the batter's box for the Lords, cashing in another two RBI in a 2-for-3 performance in Game 2.
• Second-year catcher
Kaleigh MacIntyre (Guelph, Ont.) also recorded two RBI in a perfect 2-for-2 outing in the second game of the day.
GAME 1

Ashley Black (Waterloo, Ont.) delivered a complete game shutout of the Mountaineers, allowing just two hits, while striking out eight Mohawk batters.
GAME 2
• Pitching in her second game in as many days, first-year standout
Sydney Redick (Alvinston, Ont.) went five innings to pick up the win for the Lords, giving up three earned runs on seven hits, while striking out six.
