OTTAWA, Ont. – The Durham College women's volleyball team had their win streak snapped on Saturday night in the nation's capital as the Algonquin Thunder handed them a 3-1 loss.
This was the first time the Lords have lost to the Thunder in conference play since December 2, 2011 in Ottawa. That was a 3-0 loss, which they avenged later that season.

Allyson Terwillegar (Enniskillen, Ont.) had a solid night, finishing with six kills, two service aces and a block, while
Madison McBurney (Whitby, Ont.) had a team-high two blocks.
The Thunder, who won three straight sets after the Lords opened with a 25-22 first set, were led by Breanna Scheerhorn's 18 kills, two aces and four blocks. She was only topped in the aces category by teammate Rylee Leger and Sidney Sletcher, who finished with three apiece.
Leger was the second leading point getter for the Thunder, finishing with nine kills.
Erinn Marshall (Orillia, Ont.) and
Megan Romain (Ajax, Ont.) split time on the court setting for the Lords, combining for 21 assists.
Durham looks to rebound on Sunday afternoon when they face the La Cité Coyotes. First serve is 12 p.m.
