The Georgian Grizzlies women's volleyball team hosted the Algonquin Thunder on Saturday afternoon at the Georgian Athletic Centre in Barrie.
After a great start taking the first set 25-20 Georgian lost their touch as the Thunder won three straight sets to defeat the Grizzlies 3-1 (25-22, 25-14, 25-18).
Kelsey Watson (Barrie) had a strong game for the Grizzlies with eight kills, four blocks and three aces in a team high 15 point performance. Camryn Morgan (Barrie) had another stand out game registering eight kills also matching a team high 15 digs.
The loss snaps a two game win streak for the Grizzlies.
Georgian will continue their busy weekend as they host the La Cite Coyotes on Sunday afternoon at the Georgian Athletic Centre. The game gets underway at 12 p.m. with tickets available at the door for $5.
