The Storyline

With a five-game win streak, Humber baseball (11-3, 2nd West) enters the 2021 OCAA postseason with the longest streak in the conference. The two-time defending champions begin the tournament Oct. 21 against George Brown (3-11, 3rd East) in the play-in round. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.

Dennis Dei Baning was named the 2021 OCAA Player of the Year and league all-star. Stephen Nahrabeki, the conference batting champion, was named an all-star along with teammates Aidan Murphy and rookie Dalton Brownlee.

Humber's 17 home runs this season were the most in the conference – setting a new single-season total for the OCAA and Humber baseball. The previous OCAA record was 12, while the previous Humber high was seven.

The Hawks have captured consecutive OCAA provincial titles at Kinsmen Stadium in Oshawa.

Nahrabeki, Dei Baning, Murphy, and Cameron Wilcox have solidified the order for Humber, combining to hit .437 with 12 home runs and 78 RBIs.
