George Brown Men's Soccer (6-1-1) travelled to Peterborough on Wednesday October 5, 2022 to take on the Fleming College Knights (2-5-1) and came away with a 3-1 victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED: The Knights opened the scoring in the 17th minute when Sam Baker scored an unassisted goal giving the Knights an early one goal advantage. The Huskies got on the board when Mashhood Rehman (3rd Year) scored in the 19th minute, tying the game at one apiece. In the first half, the Huskies managed to get 16 shots on target while the Knights had only five.

The second half saw the Huskies continue to get the ball on the net to the tune of 11 more times, managing to amass 27 shots on goal along with six corner kicks for the match. The high pressure offence resulted in Huskies striker and 3rd year veteran Yonis Jama adding two goals in the latter stages in the match to seal the 3-1 victory for George Brown. The first coming in the 62nd minute unassisted, and the other in the 74th minute with Abubaker Hussein (2nd Year) picking up the assist.
